Crete, Nebraska

Crete is located in Nebraska's Blue River Valley. Founded in 1870, this vibrant city benefits from its pioneer heritage and its present day diversity. Home to more than 6,000 residents, Crete has the comforts of small town living with convenient access to the nearby metropolitan areas of Lincoln and Omaha. Crete is also home to Doane College, the oldest liberal arts college in Nebraska. The City of Crete provides a number of services, including utilities, public library, and park and recreation. The community offers excellent opportunities for residents and businesses alike.

Minden, Nebraska

Minden is a picturesque small town located on the wide open prairie of Nebraska and was settled by Danish, Swedish, and German immigrants 100 years ago. The community is proud of its progressive heritage. The heart of the community of 3,000 is the Minden Town Square, located one block east and four blocks south of the widely-known Harold Warp Pioneer Village. Minden's claim to the title of "The Christmas City" was launched in 1915 when colored lights were first used to decorate the courthouse square. Since that time, the lighting spectacle has been expanded to its present proportions, featuring more than 10,000 lights of Christmastime color adorning the courthouse dome and City Business Square.

Wayne, Nebraska

The first settlers in the Wayne area arrived from Lee County, Illinois in the spring of 1869 and were joined by a second group in 1870. The prairie village of Wayne saw its beginning in 1881 when the railroad extended a line through the county, which induced many settlers to make their home in the new community. in 1891, Professor J.M. Pile and local citizens opened the Nebraska Normal College at Wayne, which later became Wayne State College. Wayne has since evolved into a community with a unique balance between agriculture, education, and industry, providing a stable environment for all three.
